Eames X NYC dept of finance collab

I had to spend a few hours at the court house in Brooklyn to handle some parking tickets. Pretty interesting system there. All I can say is if you think you can beat the ticket, it's worth a shot. I beat 2 tickets and I'm getting reimbursed for the towing fees I had to pay as well.

Plus there are some great Eames fiberglass side chairs with red leatherette upholstery. Herman Miller must have had a great contract with this city.

more progress on the '78

Chris sent me this picture yesterday. Sissy bar goes 24" above the rear fender. Tall enough for a bedroll, sleeping bag, MacBook Pro, you know, the essentials. Look how that narrowed rear fender hugs the tire!

Stuff on my counter

Random photo from this memorial day Saturday. Oh and be sure to listen to Dr. Dre's Let Me Ride today. I know we will be during the epic beer pong tournament in BK.

Born.....free?

We are in the final stretch and the cross-country build is happening. Slowly, but happening. Plane tickets have been purchased. I will be riding this thing to the event.

There will be many changes made from this state you see here to the final version.

Anyone have some different bars ideas? I was checking out the Pangea streamliner model, but I could also see some clean and narrow T bars working.
